Did You Know?

If you harvest leaves, twigs and other yard waste into a pile in a corner of your yard in the fall months, by the spring, it will transform into a rich, dark, soil-like material that can nourish plants and improve the soil texture of your garden.

Conservation

Water is our most precious resources. Without water, life on earth could not exist. Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) is committed to conserving this precious resource through its many water improvement projects. In addition, BWSC offers its customers advice and suggestions as to how they can also preserve our planetís water.

The Conservation Tips page describes a number of methods for saving water in your home as well as outside in your garden. There are also suggestions on how we can change our personal habits to conserve water.

In addition, BWSC offers water Conservation Kits. This is a joint program with the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority and BWSC that provides free water conservation kits to residents of Boston.
