Did You Know?
In 1795, Jamaica Pond became Boston’s first surface water supply. Wooden pipes built from tree trunks were used to transport water from the pond to Boston’s settled areas.

Neighborhood Site Visits
The Boston Water and Sewer Commission regularly visits locations throughout Boston neighborhoods to facilitate customers who wish to conduct business with a Community Services officer. BWSC staff will be able to:
- Accept payments (check or money order only).
- Resolve billing or service complaints
- Review water consumption data for your property
- Arrange payment plans for delinquent accounts.
- Process elderly or disabled persons discount forms
- Explain BWSC customer programs
