It’s never too early or too late to start learning about water, our most precious natural resource. BWSC is committed to protecting and conserving this resource by promoting awareness of water issues. You can play a key role in preventing pollution by helping to educate yourself and others by taking advantage of the following educational resources and programs. This section provides assistance to young people, parents and teachers to work together for a better environment.
Educational Resources
Storm Drain Marking Program
Working with young people in schools as well as with neighborhood groups, BWSC’s Storm Drain Marking Program is designed to inform people that much of what is dumped onto our streets ends up in our rivers, beaches, and harbor. Find out what “don’t dump, drains to...," really means and how you can get involved by participating in storm drain marking.

Other Ways to Get Involved
New England Aquarium Live Blue Service Corps
- "The Service Corps works with local environmental agencies and organizations to identify threats to the blue planet and develop projects to address those threats. Our volunteers are then mobilized to address these issues on the ground through various single-day projects. In this way, we take the mission of the Aquarium outside its walls and into the Greater Boston Area and beyond." Learn more
